Trader Joes Favorites

pastas...

I absolutely love spaghetti squash so I was SUPER excited about this because what could make spaghetti squash better? Cheese. Despite my excitement, I wasn't a huge fan of this meal. I didn't really like the flavor, I felt like it was pretty bland. I also felt like the spaghetti squash noodles were too thick & this made them kinda chewy & a weird texture. Overall I was not a huge fan of this meal.

Love me some spinach. Love me some cheese. Love me some ravioli. Love it all together. This meal is absolutely delicious! One thing that's kind of funny about these frozen meals from Trader Joe's is that everything's included in one package, including the sauce. So when you first open up this package, you see little frozen raviolis & frozen cubes of the tomato basil sauce. It looks super strange but tastes super good.

Big fan of miso soup so what could be better than a super easy way to make it at home? Just add water & microwave! I was really surprised at how delicious this quick meal was. Another plus is that it was super filling too! It's a fairly inexpensive item so I'll definitely be getting more the next time I go by Trader Joe's.

I bought this to keep in the freezer for a quick lunch. I thought it was good but nothing too spectacular. I would probably get it again & add some grilled chicken & grated parmesan to give it an extra boost!

seafood...

Calling all pasta + seafood lovers!!! This meal is BOMB. I mean truly. It was so yummy & I felt like I was having a meal straight from Red Lobster! It's definitely a very strong clam flavoring so if you're not a huge fan of seafood then you definitely won't like this.

When they put the word 'spicy' on the package, they should have made it bold & underlined & anything else to make sure we see it! I typically really like spicy foods & they don't bother me too much. When I'm having a meal, I want it to be FULL of flavor! The more, the better! When I took my first bite of this shrimp fried rice, I kid you not, I think a little bit of smoke came out my ears. It is spiiiicy. It was delicious, but it was spicy. Let this be a warning to all to have a *few glasses of* water around you if you pick this up!

Crispy salmon bites? Say no more. I was super excited to try this meal & I would say that I was pretty satisfied with the product. There aren't very many salmon bites in the package, but it lasted me two meals. The sauce that it comes with is super delicious. I will say that this meal is a little bit spicy but NOTHING compared to the shrimp fried rice I posted above! Another bonus about this meal is that it warmed up in the microwave really well! Sometimes when you have breaded things they get soggy but not these salmon bites!

I would only recommend these shrimp burgers to those of you who truly love shrimp. There's not very many ingredients so these shrimp burgers are very shrimpy tasting. Instead of having mine with a bun, I just had a side salad & some fruit. I'm not a huge fan of bread & often have brats or burgers without the bun, just a personal preference. We baked these in the oven but I definitely think grilling would be better.

protein...

This wasn't something that would have stood out to me as I'm walking through the aisles packed full of goodness, but Randy (husband to Sara & dad to Alli) picked these up & they're fantastic. They're great for a lunch heated up in the microwave even! The inside is packed pretty full with the beef steak & the seasoning on the beans is SO GOOD. Great with some salsa on the side. Since that first purchase, we have picked them up several more times to have on hand for lunches or a quick dinner before heading out the door to basketball!

This grilled chicken is found in the refrigerator section & it's really good! This flavor was balsamic vinegar & rosemary, but I noticed they also have a lemon pepper one as well. You heat this in the microwave for just a minute or two to warm it. I was worried because I'm not a big fan of leftover chicken & especially heating it up in the microwave, but this was awesome! It's full of flavor & the chicken is so tender. Highly recommend this!

I looked at these egg fritatas with swiss cheese & cauliflower several times before I bought them, but I am so glad I finally did! Breakfasts are hard, aren't they? I feel like I get in such a rut sometimes. It comes in a package of two & I have found that one is enough for me. Granted I work from home & am able to go grab a snack or eat lunch whenever I want though. Once again you heat these in the microwave (or you can bake them, but why?). I typically find microwave eggs to be too rubbery for my liking but these are not at all. I suggest serving them with some salsa to add some extra flavor!

some sweets...

You guys, this cookie butter is EVERYTHING!! We love it on sliced apples at our house the most! We've also put it on pretzels when we are looking for that sweet & salty combo. We've never tried the crunchy though, have you?

Trader Joe's dried fruit is the best! These three are our favorites especially the soft & juicy mandarins. SO GOOD!

We picked up this English Toffee just before Christmas & it is so good! Will definitely look for it again next year!

Our friend, Steph recommended these & I have to say she was right! They just feel lighter than a regular flour tortilla which I really like. Great for soft tacos or wraps! My only complaint is they do tear a little easier so be prepared for that.

What about you? What are your favorites from Trader Joe's?
