Warming our Hearts Activity

I know that it’s spring, but the weather is still fairly cold where I am (50s all the time is cold to me lol) so I figured it was still alright to share this cute activity I found from a friend on Instagram. It’s called the “My Gratitude Winter Mug Craft Activity” & I got her template from her TPT site (I also used her template for the banner & cute hearts at the top)! This activity created a great opportunity to talk about the things that we’re thankful for during classroom guidance. Some kids wrote down basic needs (like their house or food) while others wrote down different things like video games or toys, etc. & of course, I had to really go all in with the theme, so I provided hot chocolate while the kids worked. This was such a sweet treat & I could tell it meant a lot to my students. You never know just how much a small gesture can warm someone’s heart. ;)

Disclaimer — I did not write this lesson, it is one that was shared with me. All credit goes to Miss McRaes Teaching Tales on Teachers Pay Teachers.
