Bachelorette Recap (Episode 5)

Trying to keep my eyes & heart open just like the guys are. Here we go!

first observations...

The guys seem like a total different group! They are HYPED up & I'm here for it! In my opinion, they had every right to be feeling down & frustrated after the whole thing with Clare ended, but honestly, it's super sweet to see them so excited for Tayshia! I totally agree with Riley that Tayshia's positive energy is infectious. Bring it on, girl!

new men...

I'm actually pretty happy for Tayshia that she's getting more men... it's only fair!

New Guy #1: Spencer

Spencer is a capital H Hunk! He's the type of guy I would unashamedly stare at if I saw him in public. However, I don't love his voice / the way he talks. Or his personality. Or his outfit choices (see picture below). Bummer. Also just based on the previews, I think he's going to be a bit of a troublemaker in the house.

New Guy #2: Montel

I like Montel's smile. Eazy is going to love his pink jacket lol #realmenwearpink.

New Guy #3: Peter

Peter (left) looks like a clean shaven Jason (right). That's all I've got for him.

New Guy #4: Noah

Noah coming in strong with the stache -- bold move, buddy! He seems kinda quirky & outgoing. Is he here for attention or the "right reasons"?

Omg did anyone else notice Zac C. was wearing tennis shoes with his suit? Send him home right the heck now, Tayshia! It's a hard no for me, sister.

I feel like the men are going all out for her which I love! I'm not too surprised that Spencer got the first impression rose. He seems like such a hunk & Tayshia is definitely into him!

Also in the back of my mind I'm thinking of JPJ (John Paul Jones) & wondering if he's okay. He was smitten kitten over Tayshia during bachelor in paradise, & I would guess this feels hard for him.

update on Clare & Dale...

So many thoughts, but also none at all. I seriously don't even have much to say about this because it consumed the last four episodes & I don't want it to consume anymore. They look very comfortable & happy together! They mentioned that they are in love with every ounce of each other but HOW is that even possible when it's only been a couple of weeks / months?! Whatever, moving on.

group date...

A few thoughts on the group date:

• Omg Zac C. doing yoga in his speedo is too much. He should've gone home already because of the tennis shoes with his suit issue! Saving y'alls eyes & purposefully not posting a picture of this lol.

• White man thigh is one of the most unattractive things ever.

• It's a good move by Tayshia to let the losers from the splash ball game get to come back for the evening portion of the group date -- I like how she does things!

New Guy #1 Spencer is definitely rubbing the men in the house the wrong way. Really none of them seem to like him at all. Boy band manager Kenny said to Spencer, "dude don't take this the wrong way, but you kind of come off as a *bleep*" lol Kenny I appreciate your directness, but how do you not take that the wrong way???

Based on the group date, I like Tayshia & Eazy (left) or Tayshia & Riley (right) the most at this point.

I'm still so annoyed at Clare for her 1:1 date with Jason. The counselor in me is just itching to talk to him. I think he made the right move by sending himself home honestly. We need to take time to heal our hearts & give ourselves time to feel again. That doesn't happen overnight. & if you think it does, I'm calling you out on your bull right now because no it doesn't.

1:1 with Brendan...

So Tayshia took this cutie boy horseback riding all around LA & then, because they were sweaty, they got into a pool & kissed a little #duh. Brendan seems like a sweetie & I've been intrigued by him from the beginning, but we didn't get to know him very well while Clare was here. I think Tayshia's thoughts on Brendan are spot on -- humble, kind, strong. I like them together! Brendan is underrated people! I feel like his style even matches Tayshia's well.

During the dinner portion of their date, Brendan said, "I know being well rounded isn't necessarily sexy, but I feel like I'm really true husband material". Brendan!!! I think I love you!

THEN the sweet guy was worried about telling Tayshia that he's been married before which is honestly precious because so has she! On a deeper note, I truly relate to Brendan's high school sweetheart relationship journey. He said that he didn't know who he was outside of her & the same thing happened with his ex-wife. Retweet, brother, retweet. I just absolutely love that he shared that little piece of his heart with her. & then you could pretty much see the weight being physically lifted off of his shoulders after Tayshia told him that she has been married before too!

Tayshia girl it's Brendan!!! Pull a Clare & send all the other guys home! LOL! Brendan, if you're reading this because Tayshia sent you home, check your dms because I'm probably there sitting in them.
