Sunday afternoon backyard refresh

On Sunday I decided to do a little backyard refresh project. I was so tired of how messy the mulch looked & Piper bringing in random little pieces every time she came in from the backyard. Here are the before pictures… not terrible, but definitely could look cleaner!

The first step was removing all of the old mulch. I found all kinds of treasures!

& I had the cutest supervisor while working!

I didn’t get enough rock, so I stopped to eat lunch — the southwest salad from Trader Joe’s is wonderful! Then Piper & I loaded up to pick up more supplies from Home Depot.

Here is the finished product! I think it looks SO MUCH BETTER!!!

You know you’re officially an adult when you’re excited about a little backyard refresh project!
