Life Lately

what I've been up to...

This first week back to school after spring break was the longest + busiest week of my life it felt like!

Monday night I went to book club. This month’s book was The Hiding Place: The Triumphant True Story of Corrie Ten Boom. It was so nice to see everyone, enjoy delicious snacks & discuss a really great book.

Me too, Piper. Me too.

On Tuesday, I took my 8th graders on a visit to a spot I love full well, my alma mater, K-State! One of my sister’s good friends was in charge of our admissions presentation, so that was awesome! My sister joined us for lunch in the cafeteria & a little walk through campus. It was a great day!

Piper got the day off & I think it’s safe to say she missed me.

On Wednesday I got to go with all the 7th & 8th graders to our league’s middle school music festival. The coolest part is that it was hosted by the school I grew up in! I got to see lots of my previous teachers & old friends.

My students got a kick out of seeing my old senior photos, finding out where my locker was & talking to some of my old teachers. I had to show them all the Rice kids in the stacks of course!

After school got out, we loaded up & headed to my grandma’s house for dinner & a treat before going to a therapy visit at a local collage. We’ve gone on so many visits here that Piper got her own little name tag with them!

According to my oura ring, it was a pretty stressful Wednesday.

Just a little something sweet before we crush testing week — March staff appreciation for my coworkers!

You best believe we will stop to smell every last one of these poles on our way out of the park.

My sweet girl loves a spontaneous trip to the dog park!

outfits of the week...

I’ve started to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

League music festival field trip day!

8th grade college visit!

in case you missed it...

Rounding up everything we picked up from Amazon in February — & it’s a mix of cozy, classroom-ready staples & a few fun little finds I’ve been reaching for on repeat. So many affordable pieces that are perfect as we start easing into spring! Click here to read this post.

As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.

If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my younger sisters, Bethany & Avery. They’re “poor college students” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring them on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them! Check out their post by clicking here!

Next up is my Friday fashion favs post!! Click here to read that one. It’s a goodie if I do say so myself. ;)
