Life Lately
what I've been up to...
On the bookshelf this week!
Lunches this week included DIY Jersey Mike’s sub in a tub (#13 of course).
I always get so proud when the plants I propagated & plant do so well! I’m a proud plant mama.
I’m a shoes off + feet up kind of girl in therapy. Might as well get comfy to do some hard work!
I got my labs drawn in one poke (this is a BIG DEAL for me!!!) so I rewarded myself with a large diet dr pepper with vanilla, of course!
Therapy visit at a local college. We love these days!
Worked volleyball games two nights this week.
I was finishing my lunch in the hallway during passing periodd this week & one of my students said, “look guys, even her ramen is boujee” lol they know me well.
It was nail week! Tried mixing colors & patterns for this fun fall design.
Game day fuel (raspberry lemonade tea with extra energy)!
More evening activities:
A couple of weeks ago, I found a small lump on Piper’s back. We already had her biannual vet appointment scheduled for this week, so I called ahead to make sure they could take a look at it.
But those two weeks of waiting? They were HARD.
I worried myself sick. My mind went to all the worst-case scenarios, & I found myself thinking about things I really didn't want to think about.
But in the middle of all that worry, something shifted.
I started reevaluating my priorities. What really matters to me? Where am I spending my time & energy? Am I so caught up in the busyness of everyday life that I'm missing the little moments that make it so special?
Because the truth is, life is short. & sometimes it takes a little scare to remind us just how precious the ordinary days really are.
Thankfully, our vet believes Piper's lump is benign, possibly a histiocytoma. While I'm still keeping an eye on it, I'm feeling incredibly grateful & relieved.
& I'm holding on to what these past two weeks have taught me.
Slow down. Be present. Spend time with the ones you love. Stop stressing over things that won't matter a year from now.
The to-do lists will always be there. There will always be more work to do, more things to accomplish, & more reasons to stay busy.
But the moments that matter most? Those are the ones I don't want to miss.
So here's your little reminder (& mine) to slow down, soak up the ordinary moments, & make sure the way you're spending your days reflects what matters most to you.
outfits of the week...
I’ve started to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.
tee is old from honeywild!
