Life Lately

what I've been up to...

I had an absolutely JAM PACKED four day work week this week! Let’s get into it.

Monday afternoon I had a nail appointment with my mama. Before & after of a little nail refresh!

Afterwards, we went to book club.

On Tuesday (& later in the week again on Friday) Piper & I had the privilege of spending time at some of the schools in McPherson, offering comfort, love & support to students & staff as they navigate the unimaginable heartbreak of losing two members of their community in the tragic events at Stryker Sports Complex.
There are no words that can make a loss like this easier, but we’re grateful to be able to offer a little extra love, a listening ear & some furry companionship during such a difficult time. McPherson Middle School’s Facebook page said it best: Dogs offer a kind of unconditional love that doesn't require any words, & sometimes that's exactly what we need.
Please keep this school, these families & the entire community in your prayers.

I dropped off some packages to ship out from Vinted. To shop my closet, click here.

Tuesday night we hosted parent teacher conferences. It ended up being a 14.5 hour work day & Piper & I were definitely pooped afterwards. So thankful for our student’s parents who bring us soup + dessert for dinner on conferences night!

On Wednesday I took a group of 8th graders on a college visit to my Alma Mater, K-State! It was a wonderful day with beautiful weather! The best part was that I got to meet up with my sister for lunch!

On Thursday I celebrated my 30th Birthday at school! My family, friends & coworkers made me feel so loved & appreciated. We celebrated at lunch with the most delicious strawberry & lemon cake made by my amazing principal!

My other half is sweet! 💗🥜🍇 The jelly to my peanut butter, always! 🤎🥹🐶 Happy Halloween!

On the bookshelf this week!

outfits of the week...

I’ve started to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

This week was Red Ribbon Week so we had special themes & dress up days all week long!

Monday: PJ Day

Tuesday: favorite team / jersey (even Piper got to participate)!

Skipped out on Wednesday’s theme since I took some 8th graders on a college visit.

Thursday: Halloween costumes (Piper & I are peanut butter & jelly) & last day of school for the week thanks to PT conferences!

in case you missed it...

As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.

If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them! Check out the post by clicking here!

Next up is my Friday fashion favs post!! Click here to read that one. It’s a goodie if I do say so myself. ;)
