Life Lately

what I've been up to...

We had quite the storm come in on Sunday! I lost power & when I looked outside, found loads of hail.

Mornings are hard. These pics were taken on three separate days lol.

When the podcast you’re listening to mentions The Chicks, you obviously have to pause to perform a small concert.

Piper worked really hard to make sure all of our middle school kids got through spring pictures in record time.

On the bookshelf this week!
The English teachers in my building are doing a battle of the books challenge. Students form groups of four & read four books together. I formed a group with some of the non-ELA teachers & we are competing against the kids!

Trying out a new flavor & am a HUGE fan!!!

My movie club decided to watch Lady & the Tramp which was my all time fav disney movie growing up & obviously inspired my decision to get Piper!

I had a dentist appointment on Tuesday morning to get my teeth cleaned. My grandma lives about five minutes from my dentist, so Piper got to snuggle her during my appointment. I’m excited to share that I get to continue my reign of not EVER having a cavity!

Always thankful when the first of the month rolls around because it means it’s therapy time.

I got to go up to Manhattan on Thursday & Friday for the annual Kansas Counseling Conference. Got to spend some time with one of my coworkers & some old friends from previous conferences.
When we grow, our students benefit. Grateful for a couple days of learning!

My parents brought their camper up, so Piper & I got to stay with them. I’d say it looks like she enjoyed her days off work!

Bethany came out to the camper for dinner & an evening walk on Thursday night.

On Friday, my parents, Bethany & I got facials & then cookie bakes before heading out on an early evening walk around the lake.

outfits of the week...

I’ve started to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

in case you missed it...

As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.

If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my younger sisters, Bethany & Avery. They’re “poor college students” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring them on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them! Check out their post by clicking here!

Next up is my Friday fashion favs post!! Click here to read that one. It’s a goodie if I do say so myself. ;)
